We’re really excited to introduce our latest product feature — The FPL Contest!
The FPL contest is a type of group wager we have explicitly built for FPL Players and enthusiasts.
With this new feature, you and your group of friends who are in a league can now stake money and create your own contest or competition based on Manager of the Week, or Manager of the Season!
We’re excited about this feature as we’ve gotten so much amazing feedback from our community and the general FPL community.
Before now, the traditional method of this kind of FPL contest and competition involved the group entering the contest to entrust the money with someone, and the responsibility of sorting the winners and disbursing winnings. This whole process is manual and could be daunting, not to forget the problems of trust, as entrusting someone with your money could be risky!
With GoWagr, you have no fear of anyone absconding with your money, The process of creating a contest or competition with managers in your group is seamless, all automated, security-tight, and safe!
Here’s all you need to know.
Connecting Your FPL Account
Getting started is a breeze. First, connect your FPL account to your GoWagr account. You’ll need your Manager ID for this step. Don’t know where to find it? Don’t worry; we’ve got you covered, you can find your manager ID here.
Choose Your League, Create Your Contest
Once your FPL account is linked to your GoWagr account, you’ll see the leagues you’re part of. These are the leagues where you can create your contests. When you create a contest in a specific league, only managers from that league can join in on the contest.
The Contests Types
Right now, there are two exciting contest types:
Manager of the Week: This contest revolves around the point rankings for a particular game week. Whoever is creating the contest decides how many winners there will be.
Manager of the Season: This is a long-term contest, this contest is based on the point rankings for the entire season. Similar to Manager of the Week, you set the number of winners when you create the contest.
Automatic, Easy, Smooth, Secure & Safe
Creating and participating in contests on GoWagr is not just fun; it’s secure, smooth and automated. No more worries about entrusting someone with your money or the hassle of manual processes. At the end of the week (for Manager of the Week contests) or the season (for Manager of the Season contests), our platform automatically settles the contest and distributes the winnings.
