Introducing: Free & Paid Contests for Fantasy Premier League Managers 🤩
In September of the previous year, we proudly launched our globally unique FPL contests feature on the GoWagr app.
This allows managers to establish group-based FPL money contests with friends or within their community. These can be organized either weekly or seasonally, based on the highest point accumulations. Read more here.
Our dedication to innovating cool features and presenting exciting opportunities for our users has always been at the forefront of our mission. In line with this commitment, we’re thrilled to announce the latest additions to our Fantasy Premier League offerings: Free and Paid Contests.
Let’s dive into more details:
Free Contests:
These contests offer a platform for communities, groups, and even brands to create cost-free competitions. FPL managers can join these contests without any fee. Organizers can choose to make these contests public or private. When you make your free or paid contests public, every FPL managers on the GoWagr app can see it, and join if they’re able to.
To set up a free contest, the organizer must:
1. Allocate the total cash prize for distribution among winners.
2. Determine the number of winners and the prize each will receive.
3. Set a cap on the number of participants.
Following each game week, winners will automatically receive their prizes.
Paid Contests
These operate similarly to free contests but require an entry fee set by the organiser or creator of the contest.
Managers who are interested in joining a paid contest would need to have their wallet funded, as the entry fee would be deducted from their wallet balance.
Once a paid contests has been created, you have the autonomy to make your free or paid contests public, every FPL managers on the GoWagr app can see it, and join if they’re able to.
Organisers of paid contests are responsible for:
1. Allocating the total cash prize for distribution among winners.
2. Deciding the number of winners and the prize each will receive.
3. Limiting the maximum number of contest participants.
Notably, the total entry fees collected from participants belongs to the contest creator.
GoWagr Exclusive Contests
This unique contest type, exclusive to Team GoWagr, allows free entry but offers cash prizes. Only the GoWagr team can organize these contests.
Participants can join for free, but they must have accrued WagrPoints, obtainable through referrals. Each time you invite friends to join GoWagr using your unique referral code or link, you earn 25 WagrPoints. Learn more about our referral program [here]
